Most of us are reluctant to get around to making a will and tend to put it off for as long as possible.  It is really quite a simple process but it involves some difficult decisions.  Obviously we need to make provision for family and friends as well as other priorities.  However once this has been done there may be some money left which could be usefully employed by making a donation to a charity.

This is why we are asking you to consider making a donation however small to Castle Morpeth Disability Association.  CMDA has worked in this area since 1987 using the old bus station office as its headquarters and providing services to people with physical and sensory problems through projects such as :

Helping to supply mobility aids and gadgets

Information Service
Covering all aspects of disabled living

Group meetings
For blind and partially sighted or hard of hearing people.

Friendly call
Regular telephone calls to blind or disabled people living Alone.

Watch your step
An ongoing programme about disability awareness for school children.

Access surveys
Of local town and leaflet guides to wheelchair walks

Consultation
With local authorities and social services on improvements to conditions for people with disabilities.

It Classes
We run free IT classes for anyone who needs help in computers.  Classes are run at our headquarters and at our Community Information shop on Stobhill

For gardeners with a disability

Healthy living group

We have a small paid staff of part time co-ordinators but most of our work is done by voluntary helpers.  Your money would be spent on maintaining these widely appreciated services to the full.  Legacies help to ensure the future of Castle Morpeth Disability Association.  Anyone can help in this way and every little helps.
